Here at Flouriche we see the movements of our younger ones as viable, necessary, and important.  We embrace philosophies that encourage joy, respect, peace, discovery, curiosity, and organic development.

Play is work. 

Through the eyes of the Reggio Approach, we respect the questions as well as the discoveries.  We see play as development and these opportunities are cherished and blossoming as they happen all throughout the day.
 
Our infants are spoken to as would Magda Gerber, one of the founders of the RIE philosophy, embracing respect and seeing their movements as those with much purpose. 

We embrace the fearless flights of our toddlers with confidence and wonder.  The lovely connections that they make put us in awe as they do what they do...GROW.

It would not be surprising to hear-at the precise moment-a conversation between a preschooler and teacher about the logic behind wearing shoes on a cold day instead of telling them they must wear their shoes.

And all of our interactions are wrapped with intention, compassion, and empathy. We pool our experience and knowledge as true constructivists and scaffold all that we can as we join in the conversation-the interactions of young life.
